“Arcanum” I had scouted out this shot and location the day before I shot this. I knew it would have a lot going on, but I thought that might add to the magic of the image. Note all that water draining into the sea. That’s not from some waterfall behind me or to the right of the photo, nope, that’s from the relentless pounding of the sea with wave after wave of heavy surges on the shoreline. In fact, this was as close as I could get to the area without getting swept out to sea! I was blessed to catch a little glimmer of a sunrise below the clouds as the dawn turned to day, completing my image with great triumph! +HQSP Landscape +Landscape Photography +NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY +Amazing Places to See +Incredible +Sunrise Saturday +Kauai, Hawaii Travel Tips / Photography +Kauai #sunrise #Beaches #Hawaii #FineArtPhotography
"Mana Kai" I took this shot at sunset down near the Kihei / Wailea border on the South side of Maui. Because of the contour of the terrain, I had a difficult time finding a place where the tripod would sit nicely and still capture the shot I wanted. Finally I got it, just before sunset. This is a layered 3 shot image from that night. Taken with a Canon 5D MK II with 17-40L glass. #landscapes #seascapes #waterscapes #sunsets #sunsetphotography #landscapephotography
Upper Waikani This is one of the most iconic waterfalls on Maui, nestled into a small alcove of lava rock and fauna it flows most of the year. I shot this in the morning just after sunrise with a Canon 5D MK II and 17-40L lens. Have a great day! Aloha! #landscapes #landscapephotography #fineartphotography #fineart
"Kuka'emoku" The historic 'Iao Needle, sacred in Hawaiian and at the foot of one of the most important battles in Hawaiian history. I shot this just before the sun set on a Kona winds day. Hope you enjoy! Shot with Canon 5D MK II with 17-40L glass. #maui #hawaii #landscape #landscapephotography #hawaiiphotography
